Full Mouth

Reconstruction

What is Full Mouth Reconstruction?

Full mouth reconstruction, full mouth rehabilitation and full mouth restoration are terms often used interchangeably to describe the process of rebuilding or restoring all of the teeth in both the upper arch, or jaw, and lower arch. Full mouth reconstruction combines multiple restorative, neuromuscular, and cosmetic procedures to create a secure and lasting smile without the need for dentures. Each set of full dental implants is custom designed for every patient and aims to not only restore the look of your teeth, but reestablish the structure and function of your mouth.

Full-arch

Prosthesis

What is a full-arch prosthesis?

For many years the best dental implant technology was the 4 implant treatment, utilizing four implants per arch, or jaw, to accomplish full mouth reconstruction. Dr. John Willardsen at Trust Implants created a breakthrough advancement to the 4 implant implant standard with the introduction of his 6 – 8 implant technology, which implements additional implantation for a more secure and lasting dental prosthesis.

Single Tooth Dental Implants

Single tooth dental implants permanently replace a damaged or missing tooth, as well as its root. Single tooth implants are designed to fit exactly into the surgical sites prepared for them without interfering with surrounding teeth. Single tooth replacements complete your smile and leave you with what feels and functions like a natural tooth.

Multi-tooth

Multi-tooth Dental Implants

When multiple teeth are missing, they are most appropriately replaced with multiple dental implants. Implants are designed to fit exactly into the surgical sites prepared for them and ultimately leave you with what feels and functions like natural teeth. When a patient has a gap or requires multiple adjacent teeth replacements, bridges may also be considered.

How do they work?

There are three parts to a dental implant:

  • The titanium implant
  • The connecting abutment
  • The replacement tooth, or crown

Through a process known as osseointegration, surgically placed titanium implants bond with the bone of the jaw in place of a root. The crown is then attached to the implant, via the abutment, to replace the tooth. Single-tooth dental implants are designed to match your teeth and restore your smile.
